各位家長好， 高班的同學發心，四月二十八日在學校舉辦午餐義賣，承蒙諸位熱心贊助，共襄盛舉，圓滿的完成了。經財務結算，共收入約六百美元，全數存入學校帳戶。非常感謝高班同學的善心，及諸位的支持。在此代表學校，說聲大家辛苦了。 彩繪燈籠的第一階段，實際彩繪部分，已經於四月二十八日，圓滿完成了。感謝諸位的大力支持，讓孩子們，在這項活動中，學習中文，也結合了彩繪設計，數位學習，無限想像，創造出另類的學習經驗。請別忘了對孩子們鼓勵及讚美。 進階組同學的作品，已經上傳於蓋城中文學校官網 www.gcs-md.org，與全球觀眾分享。打鐵趁熱，請鼓勵貴子弟，上網觀摩其他同學們，優秀的作品，並參與全球網路票選活動。活動將進行到5/17。別忘了，比賽前三名，各有五十，三十，及二十元奬金。
上週日2013年大華府地區中文學校聯合運動會,感謝所有參與的家長和學生。學校要特別感謝下列家長熱心幫忙。 董事 - 郭允文, 全盤籌備, 規劃, 協調, 整個活動, 勞苦功高, 請掌聲鼔勵。 拔河裁判組 - 蘇立群,蕭朝宗,張家禎,周國榮,陳明河 也希望各位能繼續大力支持學校的活動，讓孩子們能有更好的學習環境。 祝閤家平安 Dear GCS Families, On April 28th, 2013, a fundraising luncheon initiated by G-High students has been successfully held at GCS. Thanks for your support, as it made this event such a wonderful experience. The net income of this fundraising was around $600.00 and has credited to the GCS general fund account. On behalf of the school, I would say thank you to our kind G-High students and all of you! The hands on part of Chinese Lantern Painting Contest had been a big success on April 28th. The activity was focused on letting participants experience the art of traditional Chinese painting lantern while simultaneously understanding the beauty and meaning of Chinese characters. Your Children did a great job. We already posted advanced group work on the school’s web site and opened to public voting online. Please encourage your children to participate the online voting and learn from other student’s ideas. The on-line voting will end on 5/17/2013. WMACS field day has been a wonderful event on last Sunday. Thanks to the enthusiastic GCS parents for preparing different varieties and delicious food to help raise fund for school. Special thanks to Thomas Kuo who organized and coordinated the activities from begin to the end. Also thanks to all participating parents and students. It wouldn’t have been such a wonderful event without your help. Hope you can continue to support school activities in the coming months and make GCS a better learning environment for all children.
