各位家長好，

希望大家都有個平安的萬聖節！

有件事要向大家報告，也希望各位能幫忙宣導。 上週日下午一點半左右，幾位蓋城中文學校的學生，使用Quince Orchard HS的體育館，校園工作人員要求所有人立刻離開， 因為沒有租用合約。另外有位老師於兩點前在教室準備教材， 也遭到校園工作人員制止，要求到兩點時才可以進教室。很抱歉， 這是蓋城中文學校的疏失，經過董事們緊急商議， 馬上採取下列補強措施，希望把不便減少到最低。

1. 於課前與課後，各多租用教室十分鐘，讓老師們有較充裕的時間， 使用教室。
2. 租用三間課外活動的教室，從4：10 到5：10。
3. 餐廳的使用時間是1：10到6：10。
4. 體育館的租用時間是2：00到5：00。

申請案已於週二送到ICB，但是作業速度的限制， 要到11月13日才能生效。

由於安全考量，學校裝有閉路監測系統，Quince Orchard HS的安全人員，從錄影帶中，認定我們違規，來電告知。 蓋城中文學校已經請老師，對學生加強宣導， 教室及設施的使用規則。也希望諸位，能提醒貴子弟，按時到校， 在餐廳集合，待兩點時，再進入教室。不要去地下樓，或二樓， 這是很重要的安全常識。

感謝王裕勝董事，費心費力接洽協調，學校教室與設施的租用， 相信在大家的努力與合作下，我們可以把不便減至最低。

Dear GCS families,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!

The purpose I am writing this letter to you is to make it clear for using Quince Orchard HS' facilities.  Last Sunday around  1:30pm, some GCS students were using QO's gym and a teacher was preparing material in the classroom, the building service staff came and asked them to stop all activities, because our lease hour not take effect until 2:00pm. So we do not have the right to use any of space.  Sorry for the inconvenience, we overlook the need of the preparation before class starting. Our school board members held a meeting and decided following steps:

1. Extend classroom using hours from 1:50 - 4:10pm.
2. Rent extra three classrooms from 4:10 - 5:10pm for extra-curriculum class.
3. Time to use cafeteria is 1:10 - 6:10pm.
4. Time to use Gym is 2:00 - 5:00pm.

GCS application submitted to ICB on last Tuesday, but it won’t take effect until Sunday of 11/13/2011.

GCS received a call from QO building manager last Monday that we violated the facility using rule based on their security camera record. Our teachers will communicate with our students to follow the rules for using QO's facilities, especially basement and second floor.  These spaces are not included in our leasing, we do not have right to go down or up the floor.  We need all the parents help to go over hours and rules with your children.

Thanks to our board member Mr. James Wang, he put a lot of efforts to deal with ICB for our facility leasing.  We will do our best to make sure our school running smoothly.
