註冊：請儘早在開學前註冊，以方便學校作業。註冊單及相關資訊，請上學校網站查詢(www.gcs-md.org)，或從這個聯結去下載註冊單 http://www.gcs-md.org/document/forms 上課時間：從第二週起 (9/15/13)，下午兩點有語文課 (2 – 4pm)，接著另有一堂語文延伸課四點到五點。 新家長會：9/22/2013 14:10這是讓新加入蓋城的新成員，有機會了解學校的運作，及學生的權利與義務。希望能見到所有的新家長。 全校家長會：9/29/2013 14:10由董事會及校長報告學校的現況及展望，並聽取家長們的建議及回答疑問。希望能見到您。 安全考量：請家長們勿將您的孩子於一點四十五分前，送到學校教室，因為沒有老師或家長照護。請家長送孩子於兩點前到校，直接至餐廳集合，待上課鈴響，再進入教室。謝謝您的合作。 我相信也希望我們有一個成功的學年！僅祝闔家平安
Dear GCS family members, I hope that everyone in the GCS community had a wonderful summer vacation. Amazingly, the start of a new school year is just a week away, with the first day of school being Sunday, September 8th, 2013! It is my pleasure to officially welcome you and your children back to school! The start of every school year always brings about changes to routines here at GCS; this year is no different. In order for the school year to begin in a safe and organized manner for all GCS students, it is important to be aware of the following events and procedures: First Day of School: The 2013 fall semester of Gaithersburg Chinese School will begin on the 8th of September, 2013. Please arrive at school on time; classes start at 2:00 pm. A brief opening ceremony will be held in the Cafeteria from 2:00-2:10 pm. The first day of school will be dismissed at 4:00 pm. Registration: In order to waive the registration fee, please register before school starts. Registration forms and information can be downloaded from the school web site (www.gcs-md.org) or click the link http://www.gcs-md.org/document/forms Class Schedule: Beginning 9/15/2013, school starts at 2:00 pm with two language classes (an hour each) and ends with an extracurricular class from 4:00 - 5:00 pm. New Parent Orientation: On 9/22/2013 at 2:10 pm New Parent Orientation will be held at school. This is for all parents new to GCS and provides information on how GCS operates and GCS families’ rights and obligations. I hope to see all new parents in attendance at this orientation. All GCS parents who want to learn more about the school are encouraged to attend this meeting as well. Parent Meeting: On 9/29/2013 at 2:10 pm a Parent Meeting will be held in the school cafeteria. GCS board members and the principal will hold a parent meeting to report current progress and the future direction of our school. We welcome your questions, comments, and suggestions. We hope to see all parents at this meeting. Safety consideration: For safety reasons, students should not arrive before 1:45 pm because there is no adult supervision available before that time. Upon arrival, the students should proceed to the cafeteria. At 2:00 pm, the children will be dismissed to their classrooms.
