親愛的蓋城家庭成員們，大家好!

我在上個星期天有一個新家長會議,  在這會議當中的有一部分提到蓋城的歷史。我告訴新家長我加入蓋城這個大家庭已經近12年了。在這12年裡有很多蓋城的故事，我非常希望可以與大家分享。你知道蓋城是如何被確認為多媒體和數位化中文教學示範點嗎？你知道為什麼蓋城可以建議我們的高中學生接受蒙郡公立學校的學分嗎？多媒體和數位化學習對我們的學生或是家長有什麼樣的影響？在這短短的校長的信裡, 我很難告訴各位所有的故事，但我會在未來的校長的信與大家分享。董事會和我誠摯地邀請您參加我們每學期一次的家長會, 這個星期日9月29日 , 希望藉由這個會議你知道蓋城的最新信息，財政，教學方向，和來年學年計劃。您是蓋城家庭的一份成員，希望您獲得這些信息, 並成為未來蓋城故事的一部分！您的出席是對學校的支持，我希望能看到您在會議上。

我們有一些創意和辛勤工作的董事會成員/家長們（感謝江東錦，蘇立群 和游昭松）計畫在學校賣中國食品(如台灣香腸，豬肉和牛肉乾等等)。這也是幫學校一個集資的機會.  訂貨和拿貨的過程都非常簡單快速。希望家長們踴躍支持這項活動! 請使用附件的表格開始訂購美味的中國食品！

在10月6日下午2點我特別安排了理財權威專家，張恆宇先生，談財務管理. 張先生有近二十年理財的專業知識與實務經驗。這是一個很好的機會學習和有關財務方面的問題。非常歡迎大家邀請朋友來參加這個研討會，這個演講是開放給公眾，而不是僅限於蓋城家庭。 我們星期天見了!

Dear GCS family members,

We had a New Parents’ meeting last week, and part of my presentation was about GCS history.  I told the new parents that I have been part of the GCS family for almost 12 years.  Being in GCS for 12 years, there are many stories I can share with you.  Do you know the story about how GCS is recognized as a multimedia and digitalized Chinese learning center?  How about the story why GCS can recommend that our high school students receive selective credit from Montgomery County Public Schools?  What does multimedia and digitalized Chinese learning mean to our students and parents?  It will be difficult for me to share all stories with you in this short Principal’s letter, but I will share them with you in future letters.  The Board of Directors and I sincerely invite you to attend our once-a-semester Parents’ Meeting this coming Sunday 9/29/13 so you will know GCS's most up to date information, finances, teaching direction, and plans for the coming year.  You are part of the GCS family, and it is important for you to learn all this information and be part of the GCS story!  Your presence definitely shows support for the school, and I hope to see you at the meeting.

We have some creative and hard working board members/parents (thanks to Tung-Chin Jiang, Joseph Su and Chao-Sung Yu) who are working hard on a project selling Chinese food at school (e.g. Taiwanese sausage, pork and beef jerky, etc.).  This is also a fund raising opportunity for our school.  It’s an easy process for ordering and pick up.  Please use attached form to start your delicious Chinese food purchase!

 I have arranged to have a financial professional, Mr. Henry Chang, to talk about financial management on 10/6/13 at 2pm.  Mr. Chang has worked in the financial management and investment fields for more than 20 years.  It’s a great opportunity to learn and to ask questions about financial issues. You’re very welcome to invite your friends to attend this seminar, since it is open to the public and not limited to GCS family only.   Please join us in the cafeteria for this financial seminar.
